Item/Description: Vintage ca 1930s-1970s Illinois Tebala Shriners "Ancient Arabic Order, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine" fraternal organization ceramic “fez hat’-shaped figurine.
This adorable little decorative, highly-glazed hollowed-interior figural representation of the Shriner member’s fez hat is meticulously and realistically detailed with gold/gilt/gilded accented replicas of the Shriner logo/emblem/insignia as well as the golden chapter name wording “Tebala”. It of course also has the infamous black tassel.
***The Tebala Shrine Temple is located in Rockford, Illinois.
***This figurine was acquired as part of a large estate belonging to a member of the Tebala chapter of the Shriners, whose shrine/temple is located in Rockford, Illinois. We do have many additional Shriners memorabilia & collectibles available for your purchasing consideration, so if you don’t see it listed as yet, please don’t hesitate to inquire with us directly!
Age/Period: Vintage - ca 1930s-1970s
Manufacturer/Identification/Markings/Country of Origin: On the underside of the figure, beneath the glaze, is signed the name “Gladys”.
Size/Measurements: nearly 2 ½"H
Quantity: One (1)
Condition: Excellent, exhibiting no cracks, breaks, crazing or repairs! There does not appear to be any post-firing paint or gilding loss. Rather, a handful of teeny areas seem to be a bit uneven in their application, and these seem to be under-the-glaze, pre-firing. Noted condition factors consist of two tiny pin pricks in the black tassel portion of the hat.
