Item/Description: Vintage ca 1940s-1960s “Lucky Leprechaun” St. Patrick’s Day figurine.
***This adorable redheaded little fellow is thoughtfully stroking his red beard with one hand, while “waving” with his other hand. He is attired in a “Robin Hood”-like ensemble of lawn green tights and a dark green tunic, brown elfin boots and a coordinating dark green hat that has an Irish Clover as its clever charming additional decorative embellishment.
Age/Period: Vintage - ca 1940s-1960s
Manufacturer/Identification/Markings/Country of Origin: Japan (he originally had his paper “Japan” label still affixed to the underside of his foot at time of our auction acquisition of him, but when we got him home it was no longer present - likely, when the auction company packed him up for us, they didn’t realize they had loosened this label)
Material(s)/Format: Porcelain ceramic
Size/Measurements: 3 ½”H
Quantity: One (1)
Condition: Near mint, exhibiting no paint loss, nicks, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. Though not a condition factor, given that this is a “from the factory” issue, being referenced for purposes of accuracy is a tiny protrusion of some residual ceramic excess on the inside back section of his left shoe.
