Item/Description: Vintage set-pair of two (2) Ardalt Japan Lenwile China handpainted miniature collector plates-pin dishes-nut dishes-ring dishes-coasters delightfully decorated with the artistic imagery of “Card Sharks” puppy dogs (one is playing cards and the other is making card playing remarks/references)
1 - “I Play My Own System” - gruffly says a lady-female Bulldog with long eyelashes and dazzlingly bedecked with an excessive array of green costume jewelry bracelets & necklace, holding playing cards in her hands
2 - “Mind If I Kibitz?” - says an aristocratically haughty, triple-strand of pearls necklace-wearing lady-female ? Cocker Spaniel, while she is snootily-znobbishly waving around her long-stemmed pink opera-style eyeglasses

Manufacturer/Identification/Markings: Each retains its original silver foil paper label on the underside which read "Hand Painted Lenwile China Ardalt Japan"; also on the underside of each is red numbering (same number on both) "6197"

Condition: The Cocker Spaniel plate is near mint, evincing no noted nicks, chips, cracks, breaks or repairs; the Bulldog is still excellent albeit evincing a faint stress or firing hairline, with an underside chip that, from the top side, appears to be only a flea bite-sized nick to the edge section, and still displays as charmingly as its mate!
