Item/Description: Vintage April 1975 Vampi #41 issue of "Vampirella", a Warren Magazine horror/science fiction (sci-fi) comic book, containing “Five Macabre Classics! The Best in Illustrated Horror!”
The cover art vibrantly depicts the legendary “good” female vampire in all her scantily clad, sexy glory hiding out in a foggy cemetery filled with eerie graves. She is gripping a grave marker/tombstone against which she is cowering, and above her appears this caption: “Alone. Lost. Hunted. Frightened. Vampirella Faces the Terror of Deadly Human Flesh-Eaters!”
Excerpted Online Research Information (attributed to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampirella): “Vampirella is a fictional character, a comic book vampire superheroine created by Forrest J Ackerman and costume designer Trina Robbins in Warren Publishing's black-and-white horror comics magazine Vampirella #1 (Sept. 1969).
Writer-editor Archie Goodwin later developed the character from horror-story hostess, in which capacity she remained through issue #8 (Nov. 1970), to a horror-drama leading character.
Vampirella was ranked 35th in Comics Buyer's Guide's "100 Sexiest Women in Comics" list.”
