Item & Subject-Matter: Vintage ca 1968 George Crionas (listed artist) “Track Bum” limited edition, pencil-signed, titled & numbered #162/300 clown/bum/hobo & horse racing-themed lithographic print from an original watercolor painting entitled. Print is framed-under-glass, with frame and matting beautifully complementing the print.

***Attention to detail is exceptional, with imagery depicting:   A “gentleman” clown at the horse race track reading the Santa Anita Raceway Daily Racing Form. He is dandily smoking a cigarette in a cigarette holder. In the background is a jockey astride a racehorse, the grandstands bleachers, and a waving track flag. Within a bubble caption above his head appears three (3) Santa Anita Racing ‘Win’ betting tickets stubs. Condition:   One picture is in excellent condition, with its mate being in very good condition. The threads on both pictures retain stunningly vivid coloration, and neither picture exhibits any loss of nail heads. One of the pictures is missing one section/row of thread to approximately eight nails along the lower one-third left portion (as part of the ship’s body), but this thread loss is so nominally noticeable as to almost have gone completely undetected by us. Though a few threads here and there on the accent sections (e.g. the flags) exhibit some breakage at the ends, they still remain wrapped around the nails, and the threading on the main portions of both pictures (the sailing sheets/sails) are all intact and tautly in place.

Manufacturer/Identification/Markings:   Though the informational portion of this canine statue’s original foil paper label is no longer present, it is most likely Nancy Pew Giftwares Co. Japan, based upon the bell-shape and foil-style of what was the original paper label, the residue of which still remains affixed to the underside of his base.

***Additional identifying information contained on his underside consists of a numeric backstamp. The first number or letter in the entire sequence of this backstamping is virtually indecipherable, however the last three numbers are "218".

Condition:   This adorable figure remains in excellent condition, evincing no nicks, cracks, breaks, crazing or repairs. Noted condition factors are a couple of teeny paint flakes on the black sections of each of his front paws, and one very minor surface edge chip on one of the toes of his back feet/hindquarters on the back side of the planter (this is not visible when he is in his displayed position, unless he’s turned around).
