The cheery colors utilized for this darling 3-dimensional, raised relief (embossed) Majolica-glazed collectible ceramic container are a vivid and complementary array of lime/mint green, jade green, forest green, mauve pink, golden honey, and snowy white.
Looking as if he’s about to leap right off of his lily pad and into your lap, this charming “Frogs/Flora and Fauna” amphibian animals/nature-themed cookie jar is as attractive as it is utilitarian. Not only would it bring joy and delight to any frog collector in your life (maybe that’s YOU?) ;~), but it would also decoratively enhance any kitchen or home decor display, as well as make a marvelously whimsical addition at one’s office or place of business (just imagine the smiles it would bring to the faces of all who encounter it - the fact that he’s also “full of treats” would be an added bonus).

Condition Summary: This adorable little biscuit jar remains in excellent vintage collectible condition, remaining vividly colorful and exhibiting no nicks, chips, cracks, breaks, repairs or loss to any of the paint or glaze. Though it may appear from the photo that the top portion of the frog’s left eye is missing paint, there is NO FLAW. Rather, it is how he was painted, with that whitish accent above his left eye actually being BENEATH THE GLAZE. The interior of the cookie jar does exhibit some marks on the white bottom inside the base of the container, likely residually leftover from the previous, original contents. Though we did attempt to clean it out using only mild soap and water (we did not want to use anything harsher than that so as to protect the integrity of the paint and glaze), we were not able to remove these markings (perhaps someone more familiar with the best type of cleaner to be used on this type of ceramic material will know a better way of doing so).
