Item/Description: Vintage ca. 1938-1952 Paragon Fine English Bone China pedestal-base handpainted teacup (coffee cup) & saucer set.

***Colors utilized are a visually stunning and scrumptiously soothing array of peach marigold accented with gold/gilt edging/trim as well as rust-orange edging, with multi-colored flowers of periwinkle blue, lemon yellow, magenta, hot pink, petal pink, celery green & honey set against a jet black cameo-style center focal point, both on the saucer as well on the inside bottom of the tea cup itself.

Age/Period: Vintage - ca. 1938-1952 (1930s-1950s)

***Though there is no identical mark matching those on this cup & saucer set, the closest mark to it dates from ca 1938-1952.

Manufacturer/Identification/Markings: Underside is backstamped in black ink above and beneath the double, side-by-side royal coat-of-arms logo emblem as follows:

“Paragon (the word is underlined) By Appointment HM The Queen & HM Queen Mary (all underlined) Fine Bone China England Reg’d”. Difficult to decipher are the handwritten in reddish-orange ink pattern numbers which could be either “G-6863 3" or “G-6803 3" or “9-6863 3" or “9-6803 3" (according to the “Paragon International Collector’s Club” web site, the prefixes were usually letters, so most likely the “G” is correct and not the number “9").

***Though there is no identical mark matching those on this cup & saucer set, the closest mark to it dates from ca 1938-1952.

Material(s): Bone china

Quantity: Two (2) pieces
